Thing 14 - Collaboration Tools

Today I investigated collaboration tools. I had a look at all the tools from the list, except Skype as I use that already at home. (never thought of it as a collaboration tool)

I really loved looking at Cacoo. I couldn't really use it in my daily work, but I love diagrams! Especially being able to make charts or organisational tables and get everyone to contribute. What a great idea. I could even see it as a family tree tool.

Anymeeting, was another tool that I liked the look of. I know it's designed for business, it looks a bit similar to videoconferencing on campus. I can see the personal use side there. (Bonus being free)
I am a regular user of skype, but don't want to pay the extra money for conference calls. This may look like the answer.

  1. There are generally free versions of pretty much any app you could ever imagine. I try and make a point of not paying for apps, and in almost every case I have not paid!
So now that there are apps for almost anything, and if you love diagrams and charts- Cacoo might well be worth pursuing!
