Productivity Tools

I like the sound of productivity tools, who doesn't want to use their time better.

I went through and took a look at each of the different tools on offer.

I have used dropbox before, and found it a bit annoying constantly popping up when I start the PC. I ended up uninstalling it.

I have been using Google Calender for a few years now and LOVE it! I keep everything in there and able to access it anywhere. I also have shared calender access with my husband's google calender so we never double book anything, and he gets notified when someone's birthday is coming up.

I wouldn't mind giving Instapaper a go too, I never get a chance to finish articles online. I'd love to be able to go back and read them.

Doodle looks like a really good tool to use, but only with the tech savy attendees. I can't imagine my elder relatives being too impressed by receiving an invite that way.
I"ll give doodle a go in the near future.

Until next week...

Social Bookmarking

I had heard of Social bookmarking, but never knew what it was about.
Reading the 23 things explanation of being able to bookmark and not be on the same computer was a "wow" moment. I'm really behind the times!

I've got bookmarks on my work PC, home laptop and ipad. (and they are all different)

Looking forward to giving it a go.

I wouldn't really see myself sharing bookmarks with anyone in the near future, but I can see advantages for group work or recipe pages. (So no to the social aspect for now)
